IMO, Gears will go to PS3 as soon as God of War goes to 360, which will be a glorious day for console gamers everywhere.

Umm Gears of War only went to XBox and PC, mainly because well, as is obvious, both are Microsoft. I doubt we will see it on Sony or Nintendo ever, the same way with Halo.

Obviously 360 exclusive, not surprised at all. Just buy the console if you want to play it instead of bitching about it. Price drop coming up and new hardware is shipping as well, no more RRoD. (it's all about the games not the consoles right?)

I don't think I'll be buying a console that I will have to drive with 110km for repairs if it breaks. And it breaks pretty often. And I would have to eBay all games, because they cost over $100 here.

I would rather have Gears 2 on PC than on PS3/other things.

Slayer - Well yeah, but I hope that we had at least some kind of reward for waiting so long. Like the Brumak from GoW1 (which I would kill, if not for the fact that my saves kept disappearing before I got to chapter 5...).

pretty much, GoW is nice, a great game, but worth waiting for, and if it's a quarrel with the whole controller that compells you to stay away from the box, know this, simple amount of soldering can easily make your xbox keyboard and mouse enabled, and it is a glorious thing, i have yet to do it to my xbox so far but, i've seen it done and it's a beautiful thing, works like a charm.

and even so, that can all be avoided by adding a few additional drops of glue to the bonds for the cpu when you purchase it, cause really, what occurs is the box heats up, the cheap ass soldering they did lets the cpu fall off, and then it red rings, that small amount of glue to the bonds completely avoids this, also another note, the red ring only seems to occur to those standing on thier sides, I hurd gravity is strawng, if it's set on the appropriate side (yes i know it's meant to sit on both sides, but the better of the two) It doesn't seem to go anywhere as, the little chippy chippy has no where to go but back where it belongs when the bonds re-cool down and it settles again.

FYI people it doesn't break that much with the current falcon chipset (hell i even know people who still play their launch systems with no problem what so ever), and the new jasper chips are coming out.

I wouldn't say you have to get it once because a lot of the newer consoles (after mid 2006 i would say) have an extremely low chance of hardware failure due to more heat sinks being added. Second thought, after the falcon chipset replaced the launch zephyr chipset, system failure rates went down like mad. The strange part is a lot of zephyr systems are still working fine to this day 0_o. The new 60 gb systems coming out should have a less than 1% chance of system failure, more heatsinks and it runs super quiet.
Another note is there are FAKE RRoDs from not plugging in your power supply correctly or not all the way in, those fake RRoDs can be fixed by plugging ur power supply correctly.

people can fly (the people that made painkiller) made the port for GeoW 1, if a PC port is being considered, they will probably make the port again.

Remember Gears 1 came out on the PC 1 year after the 360 version, so stay tuned next year to what Epic and People Can Fly is doing with Gears 2. Part of me still think they will port it with some really stupid DRM that will piss people off. So check back November 2009.

Edit: Also have to see how will PC gaming turn out, it's still unpredictable.

I've had my 360 for almost a year now, never red ringed. I know about 8 or 9 people in real life that have had their 360's for longer than me, and only one has red ringed.

No. He doesn't. Mods don't DARE to have an opinion other than GW > all > other games.

Same as why sergeants are sergeants. If they knew anything, they'd be higher ranked officers, like lieutenant or something.
